As the final days of 2024 slipped away, we chose to close the year not with fanfare, but with something far more meaningful—a special feeding program in San Miguel, San Antonio, Zambales. On December 27, our hearts were full as we brought joy and nourishment to 300 children of local fishermen, many of whom face daily challenges that often go unseen.
That afternoon, the children received a simple yet delightful treat—Jollibee chicken and burgers—a meal that brought an abundance of smiles and an air of excitement. For many of these children, it wasn’t just about the food. It was a rare moment of celebration, dignity, and belonging.
Laughter echoed through the barangay. There was dancing, singing, and the unmistakable sound of hope as little hands clutched their meals and little eyes sparkled with delight. This is the essence of what we strive to do at Lotus Foundation, Inc.—to create genuine moments of connection, nourishment, and joy, especially for those who need it most.
